That world-without-end assumption generates the scary $10 trillion estimate, and with it, Mr. Bush's putative rationale for dismantling Social Security in favor of a system centered on private savings accounts. The American Academy of Actuaries, the profession's premier trade association, objected to the change. In a letter to the trustees, the actuaries wrote that infinite projections provide "little if any useful information about the program's long-range finances and indeed are likely to mislead any [nonexpert] into believing that the program is in far worse financial condition than is actually indicated." -New York Times

And that is ALL that is wrong with Social Security. our Dear Leader is lying to us again (has he EVER told us a truth?) The whole thing is an attempt by him and his crony's to repay the greedy Wall Street hogs that donated funds to him for his infamous campaign against Senator John Kerry. He promised and they want their profit back now. They will make out big when poor people get their money and start buying stock like the folks bought during the so-called "tech boom and bust". First thing the poor guys will know is they wake up with a quarter in their hand and a sore... You know what I mean. Their future retirement and their future will be gone, given to the greedy brokers on Wall Street. How sweeeeet! Damn George, quit screwing the very poorly-educated Christian folks who worship you. Enough is enough!

Happy New Year. You will be lucky if that wish is fulfilled. Have you ever seen our country in such a godawful mess? And have you noticed that NOBODY is really complaining? Where are the street protester's? Where is the dissent?

I have been off blog for almost a month, but am back and I intend to try to convince you that something must be done about the terrible machine that has a death-grip on our country. People like George Bush and Tom Delay must be stopped. We must find a way to rid our dear country of this infestation. The men and their buddies are stripping of us of our civil rights and selling our children's future so they can enjoy low taxes. Greedy people need to be cut off the dole. Stop the super-rich piggies from sucking at the federal teat. Make them pay their fair share like the rest of us do. Shame, you rich son's o' bitches.
