The Bush cartel is still lying to the American people. This from fair.org in their email bulletin today, this is from the June 15 edition of NBC's Meet The Press; CLARK: "There was a concerted effort during the fall of 2001, starting
immediately after 9/11, to pin 9/11 and the terrorism problem on Saddam
Hussein."

RUSSERT: "By who? Who did that?"

CLARK: "Well, it came from the White House, it came from people around the
White House. It came from all over. I got a call on 9/11. I was on CNN,
and I got a call at my home saying, 'You got to say this is connected.
This is state-sponsored terrorism. This has to be connected to Saddam
Hussein.' I said, 'But--I'm willing to say it, but what's your evidence?'
And I never got any evidence."
---

Clark's assertion corroborates a little-noted CBS Evening News story that
aired on September 4, 2002. As correspondent David Martin reported:
"Barely five hours after American Airlines Flight 77 plowed into the
Pentagon, the secretary of defense was telling his aides to start thinking
about striking Iraq, even though there was no evidence linking Saddam
Hussein to the attacks." According to CBS, a Pentagon aide's notes from
that day quote Rumsfeld asking for the "best info fast" to "judge whether
good enough to hit SH at the same time, not only UBL." (The initials SH
and UBL stand for Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden.) The notes then
quote Rumsfeld as demanding, ominously, that the administration's response
"go massive...sweep it all up, things related and not."

Despite its implications, Martin's report was greeted largely with silence
when it aired. Now, nine months later, media are covering damaging
revelations about the Bush administration's intelligence on Iraq, yet
still seem strangely reluctant to pursue stories suggesting that the
flawed intelligence-- and therefore the war-- may have been a result of
deliberate deception, rather than incompetence. The public deserves a
fuller accounting of this story.

The war drums are getting louder. Iran is in the gun sights of Wolfowitz and Perle. They are directing the Imperialism Forces to control the Middle East so Israel can dominate that area. Israel has committed to being the puppet of the U.S. if we can stop the violence against their country. Bush, an Evangelical Christian believes, and has said publicly, that God has put him where he is and that what he is doing is God's plan. Remember that God's plan, according to the Bible's book of Revelation is destruction of this world. We must use all legal means to stop this Imperialistic regime that has taken over out country. We are now an Oligarchy, run by the Southern Baptist cabal. Remember that Bush is a "dry-drunk" that wants to, like most ex-alcoholics, reform the world or at least control it. We desperately need help, please wake up and do what you can.

While you are at nyt.com be sure to read Paul Krugman's editorial titled, "Dereliction of Duty". Scary stuff, but very real.

For Freedom's sake, read the NYTimes today and look for, "Inmates Released from Guantánamo Tell Tales of Despair".
I am very afraid that many of us will experience the fate of these prisoners who include many nationalities, including Canadian. Our country is sinking farther and farther into a deep morass of criminal activity by our government. The head of the government, the court appointed so-called President, should be tried for war crimes for what he is condoning in Guantanamo. We must all be very careful or we could end up there ourselves. More and more citizens are falling under the heavy glove of Ashcroft and his Justice Department goons. Did you know they can deport you for no reason, without a passport, just dump you on some god-forsaken shore with no money, no passport and no notifying your relatives? They can. We are losing our beloved country to the neo-conservatives and right wing evangelicals. We had better wake up.

Of course, you know that I meant "rich", not "reach" and also "feel" the despot's heel, not "fell". Need to check after the spell checker, I guess.

As the Bush steam roller takes from the poor and gives to the reach rolls on over America, the poor that get health care though Medicaid are beginning to fell the despot's heel more than the rest of us. States, hurting financially due to the Fed's cutting the funds that supplement the state's costs for Federally mandated programs, are cutting back because they just have no money. Jeb Bush's Florida is deeply involved in giving poor care to its most needy citizens as is Michigan. This excerpt from today's New York Times explains. : "Michigan has erected some of the highest barriers to the use of popular drugs and to doctors' deviating from the list of approved medicines. Doctors and patients' rights groups there say that the program sometimes poses a real danger to patients who may not respond to a listed drug or who may be taking other medications that interact with that drug." Looks like the poor, as with the children, will be left behind in Bush's mad rush to take us back to the great depression of 1929.
