The posting below is of the publication of the Late Representatives of the House of Burgesses in Virginia. This was contempory, if not simutaneous to the Declaration of Independence. My ggggGrandfather, Ichabod Camp, signed it as a member of the clergy. You can find his name at the bottom of the document. He is classified as a Patriot for this action along with other deeds and contributions. His son, Samuel, my gggGrandfather, was a Revolutionary War Soldier and lies under a DAR tombstone near Warrenton, GA. You may not be interested in this but it is important to me that I can publish it not for any self aggrandizement, but for posterity. His bravery is shown by the fact that he was a minister of the Church of England, yet felt strongly enough about his country-to-be to knowingly go against the wishes of his own church, his employer.
