A SON'S LAMENT


I do hate him so, ya' know
His sword and swagger.
He tried to kill my dad, ya' know

and if I get your son killed
It is for country and god
it is for good and all.

If yours dies'
and if you care
I'm sorry.

But He will know
and his eye will fill,
I do love him so.
